Hows your gas mileage?

I have a car that runs 12's in 90 degree weather w/$500 in engine bolt ons. on a cooler day,I think on a good launch and with a tad more power and weight reduction 11's is definitly reachable. Anyways, Im getting about 23 mpg city/30 mpg highway, but the 3rd gen rx7 has peaked my interest as possibly replacing my mr2 turbo with a relativily stock 3rd gen 3sgte, stock turbo, stock fuel system stock block etc. However the mr2 is very affordable to drive, especially for how quick it is.

On the otherhand, I see some rx7's are much lighter than my mr2 turbo could ever dream to be, local rx7 tuner Eric Cheetham is runnin 9's in a 2200lb rx7. Since these cars are easily lighter than my mr2 turbo, does that translate to getting even better gasmileage?

What kind of gas mileage do most of you average and would you say they make a good daily driver?

230 - 250 Mile Per Galon? Good god man!

I have a range of 20 / 23 mpg; That's street / highway.

I'm almost completely stock. Current mods are: DP, MP, PFC.

Why? Cruise should be tuned between 13:1 to 15:1.

my tune was done by Chris Sanders at Banzai Racing in Pierceton, Indiana. you can find them at www.banzairacing.net . I couldnt be happier with any of the work performed by them. they are great! Chris spent a lot of time with me street tuning my car and the result is very smooth driveablility, great response, and amazing gas mileage(much better than with the twins even!). if you want a Great tune you should definately contact Chris.

My new engine gets about 12 or so on the average. Sometimes as low as 10, sometimes on a nice long cruise where I don't get TOO carried away I've seen 17.
Not too many of THOSE days....lol!

Me boosting quite often around 12MPG, but taking it easy around 15-17MPG. I need to install my new O2 sensor and fuel filter, and do a tune. Current mods are int, dp, cb, PFC, grounding kit.

I'm talking about CRUISE areas, not WOT areas. If your tuner actually tuned your CRUISE areas for 11:1, he's an idiot.....but I doubt that's the case. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing.....

I think the sensor is fine. The problem is that I don't seem to get very good mileage while sitting at stop lights
