Does anyone have instructions or a how to on porting the wastegate on the FD. I searched but came up with nothing. Any info would help. Thanks in advance.

The toughest part is going to be getting your tubos off the car and dismantled, so that you can get to the "internal" wastegate. I got two quotes from mechanics that said they'd do the WG porting for $600 bucks...

do a search, I found some pics of the wastegate port job a while back.

Ouch.. that seems outrageous for a job that only takes a few minutes on the right equipment. Whoever gave you a $600 quote just for porting the wastegate is out of their mind.

I think he meant $600 for turbo removal, porting, and reinstallation...

First, remove the turbos. If you don't know how to do that, then we can go into that, or you can search. Once you jave the turbos off you can see that they are held to the conjoining manifold by several 13mm bolts. Remove the bolts attaching the primary turbo to the center manifold. You should also remove the c-clips attaching the WG and PC rods to their corresponding doors. You should also take the oil and coolant lines off of the primary turbo. Once you have the turbo off of the manifold you will see the wastegate. Close the door and spray some paint all around it. Now open the door, and with a die grinder or dremel, with a carbide tip, start wallowing out the wastegate to come near the outline of the wastegate door. Oh yeah, you may want to put something (a rag or some tissue) to block the metal shavings from going into the impeller wheel. Then, just reassemble, and adjust your boost controller.
