Im 18... I just got mine last month. I cant drive it right now though because my license is suspended from my other car(stupid eclipse). So i am just watching it from my bedroom window right now. Its amazing but the people in this club are younger than the eclipse club i was in. Seemed to me that it would be the other way around. This car has been my dream for about 4 years now and I LOVE IT. Wish I had it in highschool though(dammit.. missed it by a year)

Im 18 and in college I have had the car for 4 months now, but have been working (dont laugh) at Winn Dixie since i was 14, then moved onto a Cajun resturant, and worked there until i was finaly 18, then became a sushi chef. Basically 5 years of hard work at minimum wage. . . .but low and behold, my payoff was a mint condition T-rex. Just in time too, Spring break is rolling near.

And we wonder why the rex has such a bad reputation for reliability. Somehow I don't think Mazda was targeting 16-20 year olds when it put the FD on the market.

21 in 21 days here

Just turned 44. This is my first FD. I have driven Corvettes since I was 18. My first car was a Camaro when I was in High School. This is one of my 3 cars.

38 years old. "married with children". Definitely an eye opener seeing so many 18 year old's. I won't ask what your paying for insurance??? When I was 18 I drove a 1st. Gen. off the lot in WPB Fla.
3 yrs. and 72,000 miles later I had to sell it because I needed to slow my life down. I have to agree with the other guys my age, you sure are LUCKY!! I have two boys who are already making claims on my '94....I sleep with one eye open!

hey,

I'm 19, bought my 93 R1 in the summer when I sold my SVT cobra, studying Mechanical Engineering at Ryerson University and modding the rx7, as well as racing solo 1. It's alot of money and without my parents helping for schooling i definitely wouldn't be able to afford to pay for the car, thanks mom and dad.

93 RX7 R1
Greddy Power Extremem Exhaust
Mazda Competition Downpipe
Koyo Aluminum Radiator
Pettit AST
Autometer boost/temp guage
Simmons 3pc. wheels with A032Rs

I'm 20 and just bought my first FD off my dad who is 55 years old. he decided to invest in a 94 twin turbo supra, and gave me a good deal on his phat twin rotor, I feel lucky to be able to own one of these superior cars. I am a mechanical engineering major at univ. of dayton.
Posted a pic of the new whip, check it out.

Talking OOOHHHH......YYYYAAAAAA

I'm 23 but bought my 93 Rx7 when I was 17. Yes, it was fun having it during my last semester of high school. Nobody knew what it was, can you believe people used to ask me if it was a Lamborghini or Porsche! Dumbasses.......and if it was a six or an eight cylinder. Ha Ha Ha...I said Hell no this is a 13b twin rotor! People had no clue what the hell the engine was either. LOL...Geee. Well anyways it was tha bomb.

i dont remember how old i was when i first got an FD. iam going to be 25 in 22 days. the fd i have now i have had for 3 years in sept. i was without a fd for about 6 months but the one i had before i had for 2 years before it was stolen. so now that i have typed out my calculations....i think i was about 19 or 20 at the time i first got one.
but lets say this....when i got my first fd, they were still "new" cars. and i was that young....i think it is easier for a young kid these days to aford one. damn. now that i think about that, what the hell was i doing wit all thatmoney back then. i shold have bought a house. LOL ohwell they say poor men have nice cars, rich men have nice homes. and i am not rich.

So true rxrotary2...if we were smart we'd go for more real estate, but what excitement is there in RE appreciation unless you're a bean-counter? Bean counters/money-moviers don't appreciate, understand nor deserve our babies although they can afford 2 of them with pocket change as an "investment" and not a driving experience. I'll take passion for the rotary anyday.. for richer or poorer.
