I'm 19, I'll be 20 next month. I paid for my FD and all the stuff on it, through a loan of course. A business major at the University of Delaware, working at a major bank that pays well. I have a Black -94 Touring with: Rotary Performance downpipe, trust midpipe, trust evolution II exhaust, k&n intake and filters, xs engineering ecu, greddy intake elbow, greddy hardpiping, greddy pulleys, silicon vacuum hoses, act 6-puck clutch, jun 9.24 lb flywheel, a'pex bov, a'pex s-afc, a'pex turbo timer, cusco front and rear strut tower braces, teflon braided brake lines, porterfield carbon pads, short shifter w/trust shift ****, greddy 60mm electronic warning boost gauge, and a removed air pump. Near Future mods: Greddy T-78 single, fmic, blitz boost controller, street ported motor, power fc or haltech e6k, a'pex n1 coilover kit. I saved up for like 4 years to put down a nice size downpayment so my payments are cheap so I can mod the car. You can never get enough with this car, I don't think I'll ever be done modding it.

Good lord... bunch of boy scouts here....

You little whipersnappers are SO lucky...when I was your age these gems were 35k+

There was no chance to be so young and afford an FD. But alas, I finally saved up enough aluminum cans to get mine.

Now if I could only find my keys

ah! there they are...right next to my cane........

I got my R1 when I was 22..about 17months ago. I purchased the car on accident…I was looking for 300zx and ended up with the rx7. I was trying to sell the car 2 months ago…(thought I wanted WRX)… After test-driving some other cars (WRX) I realized that I had some major F%$#*ing screws loose. I now have a newfound appreciation for my R1.

Pushing 20. Right now I am 19 but in jan I will be 20...can't wait for some more money to fix up my FD.

RX7-2JOCK - I thought that you had to be a least 30 with all that great stuff you got on your car. You are still in school and making a fortune...what do you do? I work what I can getting 10 an hour while I am in school.

Will be 51 on Christmas Day........I don't need a cane or wheelchair!

Got my 93 Vintage Red RX-7 four years ago, after dreaming about it for four years.

Other worthy mentions: 62 Ford Galaxie (1st car); 72 Silver Triumph GT6; 72 Butterscotch Triumph Spitfire: 93 Black Mazda MX-3; 91 Classic Red Miata (still have).

You sound related to my dad. He has always loved the triumph lineup. In fact my first car was a TR6 b/c he wanted it and that was the only way my mom would go for it.

21 here.... I paid for everything I have ever owned or do own w/ my own money. An 85 GSL was my first car and I loved that thing to death (not literaly). Had to sell it because I needed a vehicle to haul around equipment when doing gigs and what not. Now I finally got my dream car and can't seem to sell the truck *shrug* When it finally sells it's MOD TIME for the FD! I got all thats listed in the sig... (+ some mods not yet on the FD )

Wow, you punks all should be driving Civics or Accord, 'cause you don't deserve such a supercar. LOL! Seriously though, consider yourselves elite and very lucky to have one. I'm 37 and could never street-thrash my investment or mod up beyond reliabilities. (Ok, maybe a veilside kit). Call me chicken or old fart, but in 5 years mine will still be pristine and running.
