how often do need to get a tune??

I got a good tune last summer.

i am wondering, how often should you get your FD tuned?

I realize you should get a tune after every Mod you install.

but if you haven't added any Mods, do you need to get retuned yearly??

unless you are tuning for worn spark plugs, clogged fuel filter (items of wear) I would not.

Just keep your car in tip top shape and you should not need a retune at all.

Once your car is set-up "tuning" is changing the plugs & maybe plug wires from time to time.

I mean " tune " as adjusting your AF ratios with the adjustable EMS with
a Wide band O2 sensor.

Not a tune up, like plugs and etc.

Why would you want to adjust that? If it was originally tuned to a specific setting, why alter it?

Mod you car a little bit, give it better air flow and what not then tune it, as for stock probably shouldn't mess with it.

my fd is pretty much modded to the hilt.
its a t78 with all the supporting mods.

Im wondering how often, the fd should/need to be tuned.

the car is running fine. Just curious if I should get it tuned yearly or not.

the extra $250-$400 could used on beefing up the drive train.

^^^ hahahahaha that's the funiest thing I've seen today...

it's more like "bust their asses working to be able to repay all the credit card debts, car loans, GAS, etc. and don't have time to drive or work on the FD"

SlingShotRX7,

You shouldn't need to tune unless your setup changes. If your A/F ratios begin to change from where it was during the tune, that would most likely be an injector problem (i.e. it's flowing less than at the time the car was tuned).

In that case, you could retune for the current flow amount or just have the injectors cleaned.

Install a wideband o2 sensor and then you'll KNOW whether your car's condition is changing.
