how is the night lighting of autometer gauges?

Ive heard its not of good quality. Any opinions?

If it's not good, you can just go to Home Depot, or Walmart, or wherever and pick up a better bulb to fit into the back of the gauge. Generally the gauge bulbs are a common generic size.

I have both the A/F and Boost on a column mount.

I think both of them are fine.

While not really a specific 3rd Gen question, the lighting of the gauges is fine. As stated, you can purchase new lights for the gauge *if* you do have a problem.

However, at night I'm more worried about my headlights than my gauge lights.

I have the boost gauge though pettit personally I hate it. it's not bright enough and its not back lit through the face but rather back lit around the face.

compared to backlit through the face it looks like crap

I have a boost guage with the red bulb cover installed to make it look red... it's adequate, but not 100% as bright as I would have liked. A touch more brightness would be nice but not much more.

I have boost/water temp. gauges, and the lighting is fine for me.

It's bright enough guys, c'mon!!! i have the A/F ratio and the boost gauge with the red cap over the bulb to match the interior backlighting. I think the light is kind of bright compared to others I have seen. It's fine.
