how to install blow off vavlve

I want to put on my greddy type-s blow off valve but I really don't want to spend almost $400 for the greddy elbow with the flange welded on and the piping to bolt up to the stock intercooler. I was thinking about fabricating a pipe that will replace the black rubber piece that goes from the intercooler to the stock elbow. has anyone put in a blow off valve without going front mount or with out the greddy elbow and piping? if so let me know if my idea will work or are there any other suggestions on how to munt this blow off valve?

bov placement

i have the same bov and i bought a hard pipe kit for the ic pipes. then i had the bov welded to the hard pipe coming out of the ic. then i ran tubing from the bov to the far left side of the top manifold where there is an extra nipple. i can post pics if you need them

bov placement

i believe the hard pipe kit is a good investment. It gets rid of those nasty flexing rubber hoses and it looks a lot better. the rubber hoses tend to, over time, split or crack and leak precious boost . i had it happen to me and thats why i got the hard pipe kit.

fatal2169, i do also have the greddy elbow with the hard pipe kit. it was purchased through own business (velocity auto engineering) my web site should be up in a month or so. look on the parts section first, you might be able to find someone who has the kit but does need it such as colesrx7

I have the same BOV and installed it in the stock position. I have a question on the adjustment. How did you guys adjust the spring?

Did you guys pressurize it and see at what psi it will hold to?

I adjusted mine by the way it sounded because i still use the stock bov which releases the pressure better than the greddy. the greddy on mine releases the pressure better at low rpms and the stock works best at high speeds and high rpms
