well what i did was stick a screwdriver through it and use an impact and it came right off. I'm not sure if it was good to do but havnt seen any problems yet.

hmm, I'll try that too, but my 'impact wrench' will have to be a hammer-and-wrench :-)

GO to any mechanic

And have them take off the pulley.

Damien, if this is for your polishing job you want me to do.

Bring your alternator to an alternator shop in your area and let them take it apart.

If you have no experience taking it apart, don't try it.

yeah TTT, it is for the polishing job....I havn't herd back from my PM to you on the polishing but let me know the difference in cost between sending it together vs just the shells. I know it will save some on shipping because of the weight difference.

thanks...

I may be wrong but, I had to do an A/C clutch before and I used a small bearing puller to get the pulley off. It was easy

An impact is the only way to go. Hammer dosn't work.

Like others said, take it to a shop and give them a 5 spot and they will do it in 2 seconds.

Impact wrench. Do NOT stick a screw driver in to stop the wheel from spinning...the impact wrench will take it off without anything holding the pulley from moving.
