Red face What's best plug for FD?

What's best plug to put on FD? I've heard the copper ones are the best conductor, but don't last too long at all. Then theres platinum, but it wont conduct as well as copper but lasts much much longer. And I haven't heard much about iridium. Please tell me the company and type, personally I was looking at bosch platinum +4 for it. Not sure if they make em for the FD but I can check. Thanks for any posts.

Get the stock ngk platinums for the FD. They're the best to use. Use 9s all around if you are modded.

That price sounds about right.

I live in CA, literally around the corner from XS Engineering, and when they dyno tuned my car, they recommended HKS Irridium plugs.

I'm running VERY stock (DP only!) and I ran all 9's for 500 miles or so. Pulled em and the leadings were pretty fouled. Put in the 7's and had more power, and after 500 miles, they look just right. Light mocha brown

Running the NGK's BTW. Not platinum...

No, haven't started it yet........well I drove it around the block today and it still running like ****, and it kind of makes sense that a plug is fouled or a wire is off, because it's only revving to like 4000 RPM's. I'm going to check connections and ignition coils and of course replace plugs just to be sure which is why I asked this question. Thanks for asking though and I'll let u know when I get it fixed and working again.

Ooops! Meant to say 9's in the trailing, 7's in the leading, just like the manual says. I tried 9's all the way around, but the electrodes were fouled on the leadings after 500 miles or so because the leadings were too cold. So use the stock config for now. The all 9's trick is for heavier than 10 lbs boost high temp work, where they can help reduce the risk of lean burn detonation. In our stock set ups, we a) don't really need the protection as much, and b) really don't want the fouling that comes with all nines.

All 7's will run too hot. You run the risk of detonating if/when your car is up and running properly Good luck, man! You'll get it...

Drive 300 to 500 miles and pull the leading plugs (the easy ones!). If they're light brown, you're good to go. If they're black and/or sooty looking, put in a hotter plug.

7's and 9's for stock or the winter. It all depends on what type of driving you do. If you are idling alot sitting in traffic go with 7's and 9's. If you are driving fast everwhere you can get away with running 9's or 10's. I am running a HKS Irridium all 10's. They do foul out, but they are worth it when you need the extra power. I will spend the extra cash, avoid detanation at all costs!!!
