there probably been moulded in with fibreglass. or his had the guards pumped.

Btw are flares made out of metal or are they out of plastic

Metal , fiberglass , polyurethane , carbon fiber. They are made of different materials.

Okay, I thought that they were forcing the metal with a fender roller, I was trying to find a taro rial but no luck.

Some simple mild flares are done using the original panels . Only not as simple as using a roller. Involves cutting and welding. Something like this picture .

I there is a picture some where of a fc that uses this technique.

some people do use a guard roller with the right amount of heat to flare it but it depends on the shape of the 1/4 on how well it works.

Also super curious if that is achievable from a simple fender roller...I would assume you would need to cut the inner lip to pull that far?

Always liked d33san's fender job, appears to be stock metal..

I looked on you tube on pulling fenders and nothing came up, what is the process of pulling quarters.BTW the red car with quarters turned out to be cut and welded.
