Holy F-in S**t

Hi All, I'm a bit of a newbe to the forum ( 4th Rx7, but only had my FD since May ). Anyway I felt compelled to share my latest experience with you. Having recently bought the car & not nowing it's history, I have been taking it fairly easy since I got her. I changed the oil a couple of weeks ago, but just got around to changing the plugs today. The old ones were in pretty rough shape needless to say. When I finished I took the car up onto the highway & went WOT off the on ramp. THIS THING TOOK OFF SO DAMN FAST I THINK I MAY HAVE GONE BACK IN TIME!!!!! I have a permenant grin as big as the Joker from the first Batman movie. I will NEVER sell this car........

I'm just curious. Do you know how many miles were on your old plugs when you changed them?

I would do some research on Mr. Farell before you buy a car from the guy. Just a friendly warning.

Don't take this comment to serious. Peter has sold quite a few cars to people I know that were totally happy with them and have had no serious issues. Just make sure you tell Peter EXACTLY what you want done to the car before you take it. i.e..new battery/plugs...etc.
If you ask for it it will be done. If not then it's your fault.

Not to say that someone somewher hasn't had a bad experienc. But I don't know of any.

To therad starter:::::Ha nice story. I felt the same way the day I brought my 1st Fd home. I was all teeth for days.

Plugs: NGK 9 Platinum

Plugs on a stock car last about 15K.

Plugs on car with intake exhaust last about 10K.

Plugs on car with intake, catback, PFC, M2 Large, ND Pump last about 5k.

Well, at least on my car anyway.

Yeah, plugs don't last long at all in a modded FD. Mine have about 7K on them and I'm getting breakup in the higher rpms.

Is there anything better?

Honestly is there anything better than pushing the pedal to the floor, hearing the turbos spool, listening to the engine (with PFS exhaust) hum, and lastly feel the primary turbo pull, and just when you feel like your really movin the secondary boosts... all you FD owners know what I'm talking about

I wouldn't port the motor unless it blows and has to be taken apart anyway. Otherwise, you're looking at some big bucks--

Re: Is there anything better?

GAWD I miss that rush. I know EXACTLY what you mean about the secondary kicking in. I'm going to miss that I think after I go non-seq. Hopefully the lack of headaches will make up for it. That second burst is great for giving friends a first ride.....

"Hey, this IS pretty quick!"

(2 seconds later)

"HOLY F&*K SLOW DOWN!!!!!"

I can't friggin wait to get my car running again.....

I love a focking Fd!! You guys are reminding me what it feels like to ride shotgun in one. Worst place on earth. It's like "ok thats fast enough, you can stop now". Then they shift to 4th gear. It's like "oh **** man were gonna die".. Love the rush.

This being my first 5speed (my other car is a 4sp auto accord EX) I was a bit more in cation mode than WOT grin mode the first week, especially after letting the rear tires lose grip at WOT in a 90 degree left hander in 2nd (once that turbo spools *shutter*) As for now...I've got a feel for it somewhat, and I drive it pretty quick on roads I'm familiar with, but I still think I'm faster with the Accord...on the downhill, and maybe even level ground, hahaha. I drive that thing to it's limit!!!

P.S. Yes, most of the time I'm driving I'm at WOT. No, I've never got a speeding ticket in 2 years
Some bltch CHP tried giving me a ticket for excessive speed on a dirt road a while back (hehe, rally fun in the accord) But he never showed at court, lol.
