hi everyone. ive been having trouble with my car lately (doesnt everybody!). ive noticed a weird smell comming from the drivers side of the uim. im not sure what this smell is, im pretty sure its not fuel though. just wanted some ideas of what it could be and if it is still safe to drive. thanks

 

coolant maybe, from the TB coolant line.

 

do you have antifreeze in your coolant, and is the smell kind of sweet/sugary? there is a coolant line that goes through the TB, and then down out the bottom of it. there is also your oil neck and PCV (oil pan vent line) stuff down there. and of course, your master cylinder. is right over there too, brake fluid has sort of a nasty smell to it and i can't imagine what it smells like when burning.
