I was thinking of getting the HKS carbon fiber exhaust and I was wondering what you guys think. I wonder if it's really loud. Thanks for the feedback.

I have never had a single problem with the 'harness'. Anways I like it sounds nice looks good, also build quality is very good. Only thing I would like better is if it had an angle more like the Apexi n1,

the hanger that holds it in the rear is kind of crappy, mine just recently snapped inbetween the welds, and my friends did the same about 6 months ago, other that that I love the exhaust. Everyone always compliments on it.

i like it. . . super loud though!!!!

about the clamp breaking. . . i doubt its the clamps fault. . . more than likely its the removal of the clamp that bolts to the transmission from the exhaust. it would be wise to put that back on as it limits a lot of movement in the exhaust. . . believe me. . . you dont wanna mess with what it CAN do. my turbo flange just broke off the back of my to4e about a month ago and ive had to do all sorts of crap to get it back up. . . mainly cause i did other things beyond repair, though. hahaha. . . anyways, put that clamp on there. cause pointless repair is stupid when you could have avoided it!!!!

I have one and I like it. The craftsmanship is A++. Weldment are clean and uniform. My hanger is still in good shape and hopefully it will never give me any problem like other people has. One thing is the exhaust sit a lot lower than stock and it will scratch the floor easily if you are not carefull when going in and out of a deep driveway with a lowered suspension.

I bought the silencer. It helps to lower the noise significantly. Without the silencer I really can't stand the noise at street cruising speed.

HKS exhaust!

I ordered it today from the rx7store. I can't wait to get it. My car has been tuned
to run with a 3" exhaust and right know I have a piece of **** 2.5" magnaflow muffler.

Thanks everybody.

I think you should go with something light like the Greddy Titanium Racing Exhaust! Remember weight to power ratio! and you never get that much power out of an exhaust system!

^... what are you smoking?.. They both flow just as nicely and the greddy cost one to two hundred more and doesn't look as good. It may weigh less but it also breaks 95 db and considering your in CA, that is a problem.
