hiding notrous bottle
ok i searched and came up with 2 good ideas .One of the bins and in a speaker box. has anyone done this or have any better idea? The reason for hiding my bottle is because of me being pulled over a while back and the bottle was sitting in the back seat. (use to have a supra) the cop told me i was real lucky that it wasnt hoked up becasue its against the law . I later checked and yep it sure i your not suppost to have it hooked up in the car. Anyway as my car will be driveable next month ill need a place to hide it.
And no im not doing the gay F&F under the seat thing . Beside with as much as im spraying those little bottles wouldnt work.
So any suggestion?

If you don't have your spare tire (If your like others that will do anythign to get rid of extra weight) that would be a great place to put it. You might even be able to squeeze it in next to it. Dunno have no clue about nitrous kits and have never used them before, but it seems like that would work.

I don't think it matters so much how much you're spraying, but rather how many times you're spraying and for how long. And on that note, how much are you spraying and why? Laggy turbo?

I liked the under the seat thing myself. I've never thought about getting nos though...
The bins is a real good idea. The hatch cover is also a good idea.
Why nos anyway?

why shouldnt i run nitrous? people spray the dog **** out of their V8's all day long and with little to no problem
why nitrous? easy its cheap and smart? i dont want to pay out the *** for a custom turbo kit or stroker motor (yet ) so ill spray it. Its easy ,cheap and makes your car haul . So in other words it a very efficent form of power. Besides putting a turbo on this thing now would be like trying to kill my self

I really think Nitrous should be left for those people who can afford to rebuild their motor every weekend. Serious drag racers and people with more money than they know what to do with. But honestly, from what i have read, adding nitrous on a turbo powered rotary is like trapping a bomb to your motor. But hey, I have no first hand experience so don't listen to me. Id rather learn from other people's mistake and save myself several K.

I've had luck in other cars mounting the bottle brackets to the floorboard and pushing the bottle up behind the passenger seat. Tucked between the bins and the passenger seat with the seat at a normal inclination, you may not be able to notice the bottle from a normal (highway patrol) viewing position. Furthermore, you don't have to have a remote since you can just reach your right arm around the seat to open/close the bottle. I did this in another small car with a 10lb bottle and it worked well.
Of course, there are the bins, but they'd have to be hacked pretty good to fit a 10-pounder in there. The other option would be up under the passenger dash near the heater core, but IMO this is a safety risk in the case of a collision. In fact, any location in the FD chassis is a safety risk, unless you build the bottle into a steel box that's welded to the floorpan and adequately vent the box to atmosphere (under the car, or with a pop-off valve). If the pressure release valve goes while you've got the windows rolled up you are in for one helluva headache.
