Details are important. He didn't say he had a V8. Why do you think so many posts were questions pertaining to the 57b and stoked rotarys. Even you were fooled.
The guy is going to install nitrous on his V8 FD. Why? Typically LS1 conversions "haul ***" anyway.
In any case, why are you supporting something that is against the law?
Honestly, I am not trying to be an *******. Sorry if I pissed you off. That was not my intention.

Chill man, he asked where to hide a NOS bottle. He didn't ask if it was a good idea to install it, he just asked where he should put it. There's no reason to get self-righteous about law-breaking either. When is the last time you broke the speed limit?

I think in all honesty, I break the speed limit often but I am not hiding anything illegal when I do it.
If he wants my opinion, I think he should run the nitrous bottle inside of a subwoofer box. To add to the install, there are several companies that make spacers that go between the throttle body and the intake manifold. These spacers have the necessary plumbing to run a somewhat "stealth" n2o setup on an LS1.

plus im not really looking at being to stealth under the hood would be hard with a direct port set up

I dont see the problem. A bone stock LS1 in a FD is good for low 12's. Some of you guys act like putting a 330ish rwhp stock LS1 is all the sudden a 10 second car or something. Even with heads, cam, bolt ones, ect ect your talking 400-450ish rw which is barely a 10 second car. I could definatly see someone wanting to add a big shot to a LS1. I dont see the problem at all.
I have no idea how much you are wanting to spray, but NOS makes a VERY slim bottle thats about 14" long and 2" wide. You could mount that behind the plastic panel between the tail lights. It would be the perfect setup if you just want it for that occasional race. They also make one thats shorter but a little bigger around like 4" or so. It holds a little more and would probably also fit in there. I think these are only around 1-2lbs so you'd probably only get one race out of them. But they would be sneaky for sure. Matter of fact, I think the long thin one is refered to as the sneaky pete kit.
Good Luck

i planned on hiding mine by making a wall from the rear strut bar. Mount it as close to the divider as you can (pretty much under the rear strut bar) and then put a diaganol wall down from it. carpet it and you're done. Theres room, I tested last night.
Threads like this make me sick, where people are discusted because someone took a hunk of metal out of an inanimate object (removed the "soul") and replaced it with another one. This thread should be locked.
Back to the subject- I think (its been a few months without my FD) that you could put the bottle at the 45* angle (i think its a 45) that is suggested by sitting it in the spare tire area, with the top of the bottle facing up and towards the back of the car, underneath the plastic.
Why dont you just take the bottle and open your car up?

The valve (top) part of the bottle has to be facing the front of the car . the bottom needs to be facing the rear of the car so under hard acceleration you dont starve the tube inside the bottle when spraying. Now im sure some where in africa a kid in his civic has his bottle side ways laying flat on the seat with the top of the bottle facing the back of the car and hes MaD TiGht Yo ,super Fast. But in my car i need to be careful because of the size shot im running

The only place I can think that it will be facing that way is if you modify the jack or the tool compartment.
hey if u seen a show called pizza which is a comedy show, a bloke bought a
Smart Roadster and put nos in it, but he had the bottle painted to look like a fire extinguisher, i thought it was pretty funny since most ricers have em in their cars anyways.
