hiding notrous bottle
What I would do if you really want to get creative, is make a phony speaker box with two small non-hooked up speakers, with the bottle of No2 built inside the box.
Of course the box would need a trap door large enough to get the bottle in and out.
Then around the hole where the feed lines to the bottle are run, I would bundle up a bunch of non-operational speaker wire (like #6 awg for thickness) and tie a few of them around the opening with twist ties so it looks like real wires running real speakers.
I really really doubt a cop would look twice at this even if he was searching through the inside of the car.

Personally I like the one where they gutted a tool box and put the bottle in there

I've had luck in other cars mounting the bottle brackets to the floorboard and pushing the bottle up behind the passenger seat. Tucked between the bins and the passenger seat with the seat at a normal inclination, you may not be able to notice the bottle from a normal (highway patrol) viewing position. Furthermore, you don't have to have a remote since you can just reach your right arm around the seat to open/close the bottle. I did this in another small car with a 10lb bottle and it worked well.
Of course, there are the bins, but they'd have to be hacked pretty good to fit a 10-pounder in there. The other option would be up under the passenger dash near the heater core, but IMO this is a safety risk in the case of a collision. In fact, any location in the FD chassis is a safety risk, unless you build the bottle into a steel box that's welded to the floorpan and adequately vent the box to atmosphere (under the car, or with a pop-off valve). If the pressure release valve goes while you've got the windows rolled up you are in for one helluva headache.

you suck stay out of my thread. If you dont have anything to add then this discussion does not pertain to you . thanks
I think the slickest nitrous install I've seen was in an Impala SS, IIRC. They cut a 5-6" section out of a P275 tire (forming a "C", more or less) and slid it around the bottle in the trunk with the notch hidden, then made a carpeted cover plate the size of the tire, complete with a spin nut on top. It looked like a spare tire when all was said and done.

but i didnt want that to be the topic of this thread so i have been dodging the question (but i left hints for some to find out ) I didnt want this to be the whole "i cant believe you did that blah blah blah... bleeding hearts of the world unite ..." Ok so lets stay away from that subject and stay focused on the task at hand , Hiding my 10 pound nitrous bottle .
for those that have removed the bins is their enough length to mount in straight up and down if i cut one of the bottoms of the bins out? my bottle measures app 24" tall with the remote opener on their . thanks

humm i getting some ideas!
I agree that some comments don't need to be made, if someone doesn't like it they can back out and go to another thread. I hate people with bad attitudes, however, I don't think NOS is good for rotarys unless you can afford (time and $$) for more frequent engine rebuilds. You will no doubt get power and boost from it but it WILL shorten the life of your engine lots. A properly tuned single turbo powered engine, though expensive, will give you all the power you need all day long and your motor will last longer. And that speaker box made to hide the bottle can actually pump out some sound! Just opinion. That's all I can say because I don't have NOS but I've read about those who have and many have since removed it. Good luck just the same and let us know what you do.

I understand what you are saying about no no2 on the rotary but he doesn't have a rotary.
You can probably go to a local store that sells nitrous kits and get your 10lb bottle exchanged for a CF wrapped or Fiberglass wrapped bottle instead. These are smaller but have higher psi ratings and you can easily mount it inside of your bins.
iv heard mixed feelings about the cf bottles like its hard to heat the bottle in the winter even with a bottle warmer. but ill look into it more. wonder how much on of the 10 pounder cf bottles cost?
cf bottle, pass. modded bin (no need for remote), blanket, insulate the surrounding area...shouldn't be a problem heating the bottle (get a pressure t-stat, and wire in an LED, like preheat on an oven)...unless you are spraying early in the winter mornings before your car is warm and the sun is up, then maybe the cf bottle will be hard to heat
last time i had my bins out i dont think there was enough room to mount a bottle upright like how you mention. 24inches seems way to tall. i moved my battery back there, optima red top and its almost flat on the floorpan and probably has about 4 inches of clearance to the bin lid.
i like the idea of it being in the spare tire wheel since you could just lay carpet over the whole thing and not seeit. or maybe build a false floor back there .

I got all the gen xII accessories with the kit including the electronic pressure guage.
So the bins are pretty cramed to the floor huh? well ill see about trying the sub box or spare tire idea. thanks
well guys i might end up not hiding the bottle cause im looking at a Nitrogen Push System. so that would be 2 10lbs bottles in the back and i really dont see a way id be able to do it but my mind is still not decided on the push system yet. i need to do a little more research on them.
