Help removing primary injectors

Hey guys. I have a leak coming from my primary injectors so I am trying to replace the o rings on both of them. I took out the primary fuel rail but I cannot get the injectors out of the rail. I know how they are supposed to come out, but they won't budge and I'm scared to break the plastic on the injectors. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get these things out. Thanks in advance.

Some people have pushed them out from the bottom. But I just found it easiest to get a really small flat head screw driver and get under a lot of the top plastic. Just apply gental, constant pressure up and work it out. Just be careful.

Twist them as you pull. You can also squirt some WD-40 near the o-rings as you twist. The o-rings are designed to make a good seal, that's why they are difficult to get out.

Will it cause any damage to the injector if I push from the bottom? I'll keep working at it. Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks.

I can't say enough about this forum. You guys are awesome. The injectors are out. When I put the new o rings on is there anything I can do to help keeping these things from leaking again. Also, will damage be obvious if the injectors are damaged? Thanks.

I put clean engine oil all around the seals on the injectors before I slid them back into the rails. Some other members told me to do that.

If you did a search you'd have found I had this same problem. I pushed mine out from the bottom using a air fitting that was the right size to push against the pintle cover.

Now, be careful and have something soft underneath the injector to catch it! I broke one of my pintle covers.

Try and use Parker's O-Ring lube instead of motor-oil.

The old o rings were on there at least as long as I've had the car. Almost 2 years. Probably 15,000 miles or more. I used the Parker O-ring lube. I pressurized the system and don't see any leaks. I'm gonna go fire it up and see if I fixed the problem.
