I wonder if this can be repaired? The little plastic sleeve thingy on the business end cracked and broke when I dropped it.

you can change the pinnacle cap.
you can test the injector by putting 12 volts to the injector and check that it clicks.
make sure that the tip of the injector is not bent. you need to leak test the injector so you won't flood out.

You are better off not using the dropped one.

I looks like the pintle (the pointy thing sticking out of the end) is not broken or bent, so it is probably good. There is a good reason that the pintle cap is there... Its primary function is to protect the pintle from damage.
You should probably have it tested to be sure and to get the cap replaced.

Since you are sending it out for cleaning, why not ask the cleaning company to replace the cover while they have it.

What a guy!!

Joe, someone mentioned earlier in the thread that you could test the injector by putting 12V on it.. I was told not to do this, as it would damage the injector??

Thanks, Joe! Can you please give me a quote to have both primary and both secondary injectors cleaned and tested? Seems like everyone uses WITCHUNTER or RC ENGINEERING but heck....if you offer the same service for the same price, I'll give you a try! Plus, you're a lot closer to me.

PM me if you don't want this public.

Don't put 12 V on it directly!

We use a device called an injector pulser to test injectors in the field. That's the safest way. The device does hook up to the battery in the car. It generates a signal and pulses the injector at several different rates.

We sell them for $99.95.

We charge 24.95 each to recondition and flow match injectors.

All filters and o-rings are replaced with new. If you want a documented test report, please request one . Our turn around is one day. If you carry them in we will process immediately.
We are not rookies at this. Last year we did over 400,000 injectors in our reconditioning process.

Please send to my attn: at,

True dat....but maybe the only 'reason' is because everyone simply says, "Send them to RC or Witchunter". Much like when a new restaurant opens in town, someone has to try it out to start recommending them.
Personally, I have contacted RC Engineering requesting shipping and other info for injector cleaning and they did not even give me the courtesy of a reply.....so it made me wonder just how much they would care about servicing my injectors in a timely manner. You see....I am BIG on Customer Service, I believe it is the #1 thing that can make or break a business.
