easy injector removal

After fighting with my injectors for a couple of hours and not wanting to break any of the plastic, I investigated new ways to approach the problem. I found that a standard 1/4" air fitting has an ideal size and shape that allows you to put it against the actual injector base without fear of damage and use it to drive out the injector from the rail. I carefully put the tip that is the coupler side of the fitting against the injector with the rail mounted in a vise and with a gentle whack against it using a small mallet it just popped that injector right out!

Thats an awesome idea. I was fighting with mine last week, ended up just using a flat head screw driver and prying on the top plastic carefully.

Old thread, but I found that a 3/16 nutdriver also works to push them out, provided you have the fuel rails out.
