help with removal of a few items

so i just got my 7 to co with me and im very excited, even though i have a considerable amount of work to do. im installaing block of plates, checking over my vaccum hose job, and installing a greddy pulley kit. not too hard of jobs in comparison to others, but i have seem to run into some difficulties removing some parts from the engine bay.

first, i cant seem to get a good bite on the back intake pipe that goes into the rear turbo. i have taken this off before, but i cant seem to remember how i did it. if anyone has any tricks they would like to share i would appreciate it.

second, i can seem to find an easy way to get the alernator pully off to replace it. i dont have an inpact wrench and i cant hold the pulley still with the old belt. also, if anyone has any insight to this it would be helpful.

finally, i seem to be having a problem with boost over 4k rpm. i dont have a boot gauge installed yet, on my list too, so i dont know wat the turbos are boosting. when i pulled the intakes and started the car, i seemed to be getting the rear intake tube blowing air. not sure if this is normal, i am sequential right now, but planning on going non with the block off plates. i read a few post claiming grounding problems and vaccum hoses. i will check those, but would like to look at all the possibilities beore i put the car back together.

IIRC, the secondary intake pipe is just held on by two 10mm nuts at the bottom going into the housing, and one 10mm bolt.
Consider just removing the alternator and take it to a local shop with an impact. Shouldn't take more than 2 minutes.

You could go from under the car with a swivel 10MM socket and an extension using a 1/4" drive ratchet.

If you really want to take the alternator pulley off yourself without an impact, you can put a rag around the grooves of the pulley to minimize damage and then use a chain wrench to hold it in place while you use a breaker bar or ratchet to loosen the nut.

As mentioned, the two 10mm nuts are pretty easy to access from underneath. A jack and a set of jack-stands or set of ramps is the only trick you need.

Since we are on topic. does anybody know how to remove the front bumper?

I removed the screws from inside of the engine bay in the front. And also two screws, one on each side, of the wheel well. It seems to still be glued to the car and i can't figure out how to take it off. thanks.

There are 2 more 10mm nuts on each side. Take the fender plastic off or bend it back and look up in there. They are around the circled area in the picture.
