I have an M2 airbox and every once in a while when I pop open my hood, I notice a lot of oil coming out of the M2 airbox. It seems like my intake is choking up a lot of oil. My turbos have about 37000 miles on them, but I drive my car pretty hard. Is this normal? Does anyone know what's going on, or has anyone else experienced this?

 

Some oil is normal..lots usually mean the turbos are going south...

 

I would have to agree with that initial assessment...no wonder you have been considering...going single turbo

 

Yup, there are massive amounts of oil spewing out of the airbox. It's strange really....I only have 37k on those turbos, they are brand new not rebuilt, I wonder why they went so quickly... Oh well, at least I have an excuse to go do a single turbo conversion now! Mua HAHAHAHA (Evil guy laugh)

 

Can I have your greasy airbox when you go single turbo?

 

Yup, all the stuff I don't need will be for sale in about a couple of weeks. This includes:
M2 downpipe,
M2 stage 3 ECU
and M2 carbon fiber airbox

I will keep anyone who is interested posted.
