Well, assuming everything is running fine:

Oil change in engine, tranny, and diff
Spark plug change
Fuel filter change
Boost gauge
Intake
Catback

I was thinking something along the lines of a 5" muffler, some stickers of good brands that I want to buy later, a 250 shot of Nos, and maybe some cool rims. And altezzas.

catback 450$

put the rest in store for follwing at same time

Screw all that, how about a 5 speed!!!! or maybe save your dough for a 6 speed.
I know FDs are kinda hard to find but I would not have settled for auto.
Never driven or even been in one but i guess my personal preference dictates what i get.
ENJOY yours!
BTW. If you've got all the reliability mods out of the way go with KZ1's suggestion.

It really depends weather you want body mods, or actual performance upgrades... Personally, I am inclined to think that the first thing you should do to your car is Body mods... wing, maybe... RIMS (defininite) some cool decals as you said, Check some stores online you can get great kits. Sound System??? Underbody Neons, and eurolights have always been the first thing I've wanted to do with my car (Wont get for another year-Im only 15). Then, with the next money you save up you can get some performance upgrades... Intake, Exhuast (just look at my user name), NOS (I really seriously do not reccomend putting a 250 shot in before any upgrades) intercooler, headers, port polish, everything... you'll then be, MY HERO!

I say:
Turbo Timer
Boost Gauge
Power Intake
Down Pipe

I'm having these mods done next week, I have put allot of research into it, seems to be the best mod's for least $ for best performance and longevity of the vehicle.

Since you live in TX I would start with a Upgraded radiator (Koyo, Flui.) and a downpipe.

oh yeah, and personally i think you should save all $1000, at least, and get to know the car a little first. you never know, you might end up needing the money for repairs. unfortunately these cars tend to have a lot of mechanical problems, especially in the first few months of ownership. but thats just my opinion...

Since you live in Texas I'd say....and assuming you've done the 'little' things(plugs, wires, filters)...

Boost guage
Downpipe
AST
Vacuum hoses
Radiator
Vented hood?
K&N filter(temporarily)

I would do the usual DP, MP, and catback. Under the assumption that you have a job and will eventually be able to upgrade your ECU & intake.

I personally went with these mods first:

1) Fluidyne Radiator $500
2) Defi Boost gauge (in autometer A pillar) $222 + $30
3) Pettit aluminum AST $150
4) Turbo timer $100
5) HKS Hiper Exhaust $350

has 102mm diameter piping, I think that's what you're looking for.

Just hear me out, first of all is it the origanal engine, and if so you might want to hold off on any mods, and I will tell you why. I bought my CYM with 72000 miles and had it for 5 days, and the engine had went out on me. I had almost spent all of my money on mods, and I was glad I had not. As you should know stock engined usaully only last around 60000 to 75000 miles. Just some words of advice. Good luck with it, and I know you will love it.

I thought so too, but I think the silencer is attached. So far it's the only exhaust to have mandrel bent 4" piping
