on the factory solenoids you only take off the two top hoses and cap them "right"? Then I just caped off the metal tubes that lead to the bottom of the actuator waste gate control, and to the bottom of the actuator turbo precontrol. Is the way to do it?

Hey its the bottom two nipples not the top two....actually you can disconnect all four and plug them up if you want won't do any harm.

Thumbs down

well, I pluged all four of the solenoid nipples and then the metal tubes. SAME **** check engine light comes on and the car idles like ****. When I hit the gas fast it almost stalls out. If I slowly give it gas the rpms will slowly rise and I can hear the turbos spool. WHAT THE HELL DID I DO WRONG? I used the little blue electrical tie in things. "You know the ones that you dont have to cut the wires" Do you think that it might be a bad connection? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some times I just wish I had a C5 or just even a newer z28. Or maybe a perfectly running fd. "sorry, just had to vent"

Is this my problem? the red wire that comes off the avc-r is not connected to the 6 pin coupler "it looks like it was connected at one time! The only thing that the red wire is hooked to is the ecu!! Does it need to be connected to the ecu and the 6 pin coupler? if you look at the diagram it shows that one end of the coupler only has 4 wires and the coupler that it hooks in to has 5 wires. (this dont make sense because one wire is not getting any power) So should I put it back in the connecter?

Hey Dan, I know it's frustrating not getting any replies. It sounds like the red wire is missing and may be a power line. I'm not sure though, maybe you should contact or check with Apex'i. I don't own one, so I don't know. But don't run the car until you know for sure.

Maybe..

Hey bro that red wire missing looks like its the power wire for the Display-Control unit.....When you turn on the Ignition Does the Display light up and does Apexi - S-AFC scroll across the Display...? I'll check mine later tonight when I get a chance. Tony

Ps....You want to make sure your connections from the S-AFC harness to the stock ECU are connected to the right wires on the ECU and are secure.

well, I have the older model. I have the red wire tied into the ecu, but it also looks like it belongs in the coupler. heres what it looks like it should be " the red wire coming from the avc-r to the coupler, and then a splice going from that red wire to the ecu"

well, I took my chances and pluged the red wire back into the coupler and it was a perfect fit (so it did belond there". then I reset the ecu and pluged the battery back up and started the car "SAME MOTHER ****** THING"check engine light comes on and runs like ****. I unpluged the map sensor both vaccum and electrical, it didnt make any difference. Then I pluged in the stock map sensor "just for kicks" but it didnt make a difference. Any comments or suggestions? please help

Does anybody want to buy a 93 fd with 45000 original miles? (j/k) but thats what I feel like

You didn't by chance replace your stock map sensor with the one that came with the avc-r did you? Your supposed to leave the stock one alone and use the pressure sensor that came with the avc-r to plug into the acv-r plug.

sounds like either that's it, or if not, maybe you should try going back to stock and seeing if that works. I don't know much about this, but it sounds like you have it on no settings, the AVC-R that is. Like do you have anything that goes straight to open air with this new setup? Sounds like you don't have the proper valve settings or something, or maybe I'm not making any sense to you, just an idea from the outside, I know after you work on something for a long time you miss some things...good luck
