Help me with line locks please.

I need some help with line locks. I know nothing about them except that they lock up your front wheels so you don't roll during your burn out.

What do I need to know before I get one?

Any recomendations on one?

Are they hard to install?

Thanks for any help.

This should answer most of your questions - http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...rake_valve.htm . That install is for a proportioning valve, but it would be almost identical for a line lock.

Thanks for the help, any suggestions on which one I should get?

When I use the line lock do I need to pull the ABS fuse or anything?

I do believe that you will need to pull the ABS Fuse in order to do a proper burn out regardless of whether or not a line lock is employed. As far as which one to get.. take a look at Summit and Jegs to see what's available. I think Hurst makes a decent one, and there are several others, they are all very similar.

No just one. If you look at the lines coming off the master cylinder you'll see there are only two, one for the front circuit and one for the rear. You are going to splice it into the front circuit.

Isn't that why you pull the ABS fuse? If you disable the ABS computer isn't it just liek haveing regular brakes?
