just got car back from a heart transplant...and i get smoke on start up is that normal.....and what is the car suppose to idle at.......93 touring....not sure if its bad or it just needs to be broken in.....

 

What color is the smoke? I guess a little white smoke is ok on start up. As for the idle, it's higher when cold, maybe 1200-1500. 750-900 after warming up.

 

light blue i think not sure it was dark outside but i almost positive its blue...it goes away after it warms up tho....

 

that means oil

your oil seals are going out, if you are using 10-30, you might want to switch to 20-50, but don't worry you probably still have a go 50-60k+ left on the engine.

when i started reading the post, i got confused and thought i was in the lounge, and i just remembered "help me" from the title, and then i read, "i just got back from the heat transplant" and i was like "uh ohhhhhhh"

what about my idle....my idle is pretty high it idles about 1200...

 

After you drive it around for about 10-15 minutes, is the idle still at 1200?

Until my car is warm, the idle is around 1100-1200. Once it's warmed up, it's about 750.
