help..!!how to increase more hp????

I have got a PFc, evc-4 , ported wastegate, HKS induction, straight through pipe, Trust down-pipe, ARC radiator, stock turbos and stock intercooler. Now i am running 280 rwhp. I wonder what else can i do to upgrade performance without changing the stock turbo ..!!

How'bout adding a larger SMIC? Like a M2 MED or a Greddy 2 FMIC?

Whoa man....you're telling me you dyno'd 280 rwhp running 1.0 bar on the STOCK IC??????

Please, do us all a favor and get a bigger IC so you can run those boost levels safely...

I am looking at the front-mount and those which replace the stock in it's position right now. Which one is worth going for, i know the front mount one is alot more expensive. For my modi, do u guys think the one which replace the stock in its original position is good enough ?

You can go with either a stock mount or front mount...we won't go into which is better here. Do a search and you will find several very good threads on SMIC vs FMIC. But for now...TURN DOWN THE BOOST I know you said you dynoe'd at 1.0 bar. This is WAAAY too much for the stock intercooler. I don't even want to know what your intake temps are.

These guys are right about your boost being way too much. Get yourself an ic and upgrade your fuel system. The FD can only handle 13psi with the stock fuel system setup. Actually, 13psi is pushing it, you don't want to run 13 psi all the time.

The problem with a stock mount ic is that there is a lot of heat soak.

I didn't say it was a lot of mods, I said it seemed like a lot of mods/boost for 280 hp....

I see...we'll I think you are right. Probably because his intake temps we're way too damn high from running 14.whatever psi on the stock IC...

hey , i there is a guy offering a SMIC thats about the size of original but alot thicker (twice i think) , but with better core and is aluminum. And he told me that , they notice a 40 degrees drop in intake temperature during testing. So, is this good enough or shall i look for a bigger one?

Get a full-sized upgrade. You'll want one eventually, probably right after you install the smaller one if you decide to go that route. The M2 Medium is a great SMIC. The GReddy SMIC is not that bad (lots of internal flow area for low pressure drop), but I don't think it can cool the air as efficiently as the larger ones.

However, if you don't plan to road race (run the car on a circuit track) or have overheating problems already, I think a front mount is the best way to go. I've long been a SMIC supporter, and I still think that is the best solution for a track car or a car that is used in a really hot climate, but the FMIC is hard to beat on the street or strip. FMICs make dyno tuning easier, too, because it is easier to keep the intake temps down.
