Question Help Car Wash Question

I live in an appartment and theres no place to wash cars. Im thinking about taking it to this place that i always used to go to with my old car, they always did an excellent job. The only thing is its put on a track and sent through a thing, is an fd to low to go onto one of these tracks? Also would you guys trust some1 driving your fd for the 2 seconds it takes to get from the "vaccum station" to the track? Just wanna know what you guys would do cus im iffy on taking it there. thx-Eric

Please doot take your FD to an automatic car wash place... go get it detail by a professional or at least wash it yourself... but if you're really going to bring your car to an automatic wash (which wont be fun because you'll have trouble loading the FD on the tracks w/o causing damage)... have fun with the "sand papers" flapping all over your car.

I used to be live with this situation. Find a self service car wash and take your own bucket with soap, rags, etc. and pay to use it for just the water/rinse cycle. You usually need to pay for two cycles.

No it goes through a machine, then they do the interior, put shine on the wheels and all that good stuff.

Near gas stations they usually have the pressure washer stations. Just bring your own soap, bucket, and rags like Trout2 says.

I think it's a dollar or two for a few minutes of water (2-3).

Just don't get too close to the car with the pressure washer! Or you'll be hating yourself for a long time...

Good stuff? LOL... putting cheap grease all over your car is not good stuff. your car sitting there helplessly beingsmack around with dirty rags (or sandpapers ) ... not good either. just got o a gas station like they said if youre in a hurry.. get a bucket (and soap if the station doesnt have soap.. use dawn if youre in a hurry... it strips wax though.. but much better than the crap they have at stations or automatic car washes), towel, and another towel... done.

Those car washes suck, the will scratch the **** out of your paint, leave swirl marks, etc.

Either go through a touchless, or to one you spray yourself. Like said above, take your own towels, bucket, soaps and whatnot, and wash it up. Most of them have a sign that says "No bucket washing" so maybe try and take it during a time that odds are no one else is there, so you can do it right.

I was bucket washing and a lady pulls up and started honking, so I put a dollar in the machine and it gave me 5 minutes, but I just kept hand washing as I told her I'm paying for it, get the **** out of my face. I did this 3 times before she finally left and I was just ******* around on the last one, well worth the 3 bucks
