If you go to Mazda and ask about the service bulletin, there's a recall for that.

hmm I should book an appointment.. probably get the latest spark plug update while im at it too

also ended up finding the culprit for my headlight issues it was the relay by the fuse box which I replaced last year.

opening it up it looks brand new on the inside, no corrosion anywhere, looks like it welded itself shut
I had it hanging upside down, funny how electromagnets don'st work underwater

Well, I had the relay act up again a couple weeks ago. I found the replacement part in stock and cheap at Advance and figured I'd share the part# for the next guy who has this problem.

Part No. R4136Z $17

So I was testing my lights and they are supposed to pop up when off but you want to flash high beams right? Mine didn't, and basically flashed inside the bumper lol. Anyone know a solution?
They pop up fine when turning the low beams on.

If you flash high beams I don't believe they are designed to pop up. You have to press the pop up button or turn on headlights then flash.

It's been a while since I last drove it but I really thought they popped up to flash automatically. So I guess they're ok. Thanks!
