Fuel pump pressure surging

This is with fp and gnd jumped in the diagnostic port and just ign on.

Is my bosch pump dead?

could it be the regulator?

Hi,

Yes i can hear the pump surging, sorry i had uploaded a video showing my fpr gauge.

Its set for 40psi but surging between 30 - 50 on just ign with the fuel pump jumped.

It could be pressure reg yes but i guess I'll have to change one to prove the other.
Also i had read that surging that much is unlikely to be the reg as its too big a margin

It was the pump, changed it and the pressure is rock solid.

Thanks for all the help and useful input, (not you neit_jnf, your awesome!!!)

This forum has took a dive recently tbh guys, covid related maybe
