has my engine blown.
ok i attempted doing doughnouts for the first time in my life. in 1st gear. then decided to go to the petrol station for some petrol(ovisley) but i could tell there was something wrong. the engine was running fine the sound was good etc. but when i put my foot down the car would rev but not pick up speed. then it started to lose power but engine still sounds good. when i opened the hood/bonnet theres was somke coming out the rotor housing strong smell like brake/cluch.
have i blown my engine or can this be fixed before it damages my turbo etc.

technically the only smoke you should see would be from the clutch in that situation.... otherwise you have a major exhaust leak... the reason you thought you were loosing power was probly because you raosted the stock clutch so much that its just constantly slipping. Do a compression check, but if your not seeing smoke out of the tail pipe you should be fine on themotor.

so it might just be the clutch. theres plenty of the usual healthy smoke comin from the backbox. sice i have wasted my clutch, any advice on which clutch to get to replace my stock one. i need a clutch which can withould my rubbish drifting and and other little tricks.

We took in a customer's car about a year ago with a similar situation: burnouts with less than 1/4 tank of gas. Upon tearing down the engine, the damage to the apex seals and thus rotor housings, rotors and turbine wheel was some of the worst I've seen.

to the OP, what did you check for blown engine?
you could prolly get the "brap brap" sound from some aftermarket exhaust catback or combo bov ?? .. no need for a bridgeport
and how does eating doughnuts affect apex seals? .. maybe if you add some beans, you might get a different kind of "brap, brap"
