Ok, if you haven't removed it yet, how do you know that it's exactly the problem?

You might be able to get to it without removing the UIM if you know what you are feeling for and if your hands are small enough.

Usually though the vacuum lines on the back side (firewall side) are pretty short, so you will most likely need to pull the UIM to remove it and install the a new one properly.

how do i know that this is the problem? simple i am having the exact symptoms of a bad check valve, you see when i boost i have to build 20 hg in vacuum before i can get normal boost, that even when i am at higher rpms, lets take for example i am at 4500 and i give it gas i wont get boost, if i wait and build my vaccum at 20hg then mash the pedal i get the whooping 10 pounds!!! now that to me sounds like a bad check valve!

Scrub,
i was in Delaware this weekend. I was on the Bethany Beach strip. That place has more Corvettes per square mile than anyplace in the world. They were like cockroaches. They were from every time period too. Very strange. If it wasn't a Vette, it was a done up VW. They were messing with the Vettes. From what I saw, that was a big mistake.
They all got pulled over too. the cops looked like they were really rough on people with done up rides.
Next time, i'll bring my car.

lol, yeah you should and show them all up. There probally was a car show or something, but there are a lot of people with money down around there. They all got what they deserved anyway. Next time you come to DE let us know. Thats a far drive for a 7 though.

That is a far drive, but I drive to KD in PA. from MA. all the time, so i'm used to it. I'll let you know when I come down again.
I gotta go home now(i'm at work).

Peace

Interesting...I have had the same problem for the past few weeks. When I'm crusing at 4k-5k, giving it gas usually does nothing to boost which is why I've restrained from some challenges. On the other hand, at times I get awesome boost, just needs momentum. Maybe that's it...will find out soon I hope.
