Gutting out cat??

Hey gang i have a bone stock CYM. I live where there are NO smog checks. I was wondering if gutting out the cat would harm anything on a completely stock FD. Would i experience boost spikes? Would the gutted cat cause the car to run poorly without any other mods? What is the best way to gut a cat out? Thanks

which cat? precat then great! maybe a tiny bit more boost, not a problem though. if i remember right when i had my precat gutted they used a torch to heat up the stuff and cut/knock it out. that emissions stuff is tuff!

you should be fine if you have your stock catback and precat.
