air pockets in the coolng system?

What would happen if you had air in the cooling system?

How do you get rid of it?

let the car sit for awhile and let it cool down. Then open up both radiator caps and choke the **** out of it till all the air comes out. Then add water or coolent. Repeat till desired affect takes place.

open your coolant cap...remove your intakes and squeeze that big black tube (radiator tube) untill u see all the bubbles come out. this may take about 5-10mins...

it also depends on how much air you're talking about... if you just got some in there by opening it when it was a little hot and it spilled a bit... small amounts of air get purged from the system automatically (hence the air separater tank). if you're talking about a large amount of air because you jsut flushed the system, you can also remove the coolant hose the the thottle body and fill at the filler neck until coolant comes out of the throttle body hose.
