Gsl-se eccentric shaft in my FD Engine?

Whats up guys. I always used the gsl-se eccentric shafts in my FC TurboII engines to bypass the thermal pellet. Would this be the smart thing to do on the FD engine as well?

If you're worried about the thermal pellet on an REW failing you could buy a new one or delete it. It's just a thermostat in essence that controls the flow for the rotor oil squirters.

I know the gslse eccentric shaft is a little lighter also. I dont want to mess up my engine over a damn thermal pellet failure

Many shops sell the small aluminum plugs that disable the thermal pellet for a few bucks. They just pop right in.

I would rather use the gslse cuz its lighter i just want to know if you can use the same pulleys and all. I know the front bolt is bigger but i got them too. I have 6 shafts that are gslse and im pretyy sure the engine im going to take apart has a spun bearing

I don't think you can use the shaft in an FD engine, I think the bolt pattern for the front pulley is different.

Im not going to use a gsl se pulley. Im.using an fd pulley. The only difference is the thread size on the front pulley bolt.

First you said you wanted to use the GSL-SE e-shaft to eliminate the wax thermopellet. A more practical option was suggested. Now you suggest it's because the e-shaft is lighter. I can't think that difference is significant. Might work, but doesn't sound like something I'd want to do. Especially since IF your current FD e-shaft is damaged, good used ones aren't hard to find or that expensive.
