Greddy Profec B spec 2 settings....

People with the profec b spec 2. I would like to know what your setting are for the boost you are running. Right now I am getting creep at higher rpms, anyone else have this issue?

turn up your gain if it falls off or creeps at high rpm's. I'm still setting for the hi setting. Going for 10-8-10. Maybe this weekend I'll have time to get to some open roads!

dont turn up the gain!!....that will cause it to creep earlier...if anything just turn the gain down....what mods do you have??....did it creep before installing the profec??...

Read the tuning instructions again. "When boost SPIKE occurs, lower the gain value....When boost falls off at high rpm, or boost increases(creeps) as rpm's increase,...RAISE the gain value." This is not just me quoting it, this is me turning up the gain and stopping boost CREEP. I agree that the mods may affect the characteristics. This is what the insrtuctions say and what I have done to solve a similar issue. However No 2 cars are alike!

Just change in small increments and record the changes so you know what was what. Like i said in the last post no 2 cars are the same. Just make sure you watch your boost and make small changes. Also as you increase the gain...The overall boost can increase with out you changeing the set level( target boost)Good luck!!

If you have a full exhaust even with a boost controller you may still experience creep. porting the wastegate may be a necessary step...

No problem.. I just got lucky thats all!! ( And don't stay in the corner all day, you'll miss your chance to correct me!) BTW the car i'm tuning it on now has intake,FMIC,DP,MP,apex GT, stock turbos and ECU. Even with out the boost controller the car only had spike t0 11-12 on the prim. and crept 2 psi from the target on the secondary. Another one here has the same exact mods and his engine popped the first time he stepped on the gas. Spiked to 16+!!! Yikes. Good luck!!

I'm in the process of setting up mine right now. I am getting a little spike to about 10.7 psi. I was thinking maybe if I set the start boost lower it might help stop that. That is if I am understanding the start boost correctly.

you've got the idea! You could also lower the gain a little,.. but the start boost will cause spikeing if it is too close to the target boost level. Always write the results down somewhere, you can't change one thing without it afeecting another. Good to know where you started! Aloha, Dave

The only mods I've done are the following:

1) Cheap Bastard intake;
2) JDM factory downpipe;
3) Greddy/Trust Free-flow muffler;
4) N-Tech free-flow CAT
5) M2 Stage III ECU

Do I still need to install a boost controller ?

:-) neil
