Going Non Seq tomorrow. Advice please
Wassup Team
Been having some boost issues with my car lately. I was gonna try to diagnose what the problem was but instead i've decided to give non sequential a shot. I am doing the poor mans Dont be a Rikki version. Rikki if you are reading this post please give me any advice that you may have. I have studied the diagrams for the set up and hopefully i dont screw up badly. First of all i understand that i need 330 ohm resistors, vacume caps, silicone hoses, and block off plate.
Can i get all these parts at Napa or Autozone? Also how many resistors do i need again? Thanks Team, any advice will be greatly appreciated. Hopefully i'll be able to get the set up done by friday night and i'll post the results of how it runs.

What mods do you have? Non-Sequential is NOT for undermodded cars.
When I did mine, I had full 3" exhaust, intake, Power FC, Twinpower, Fuel pump, FMIC and pulley kit(Just for the go fast parts).

non-seq is awesome. There is nohting like reliable boost. Don't listen to people about lag. Unless you race from 2500-3 grand it isnt even an issue. It will change the exaust note of oyu car though, and definatly for the worse.

Do the poor man's way FIRST. MAKE sure that you like it.
Once you do resistors and all that **** you can't go back.
Another option is to just use the solenoids for resistance that way you don't need resistors, thats what we did to mine.

Then you don't need the resistors yet. I don't think but this is Ryans thing I haven't payed much attention to how it works yet. I would suggest that instead of going non sequential you do a silcone hose job on tha car. You haven't even really modded your car that much yet. How do you know that you don't like sequential? I think you should reconsider.

Fd3boost,
The person i bought the car from told me that it was already replaced with silicone hoses. Now the problems that im having could be a vacume leak but i really doubt it at this point. I have full boost on on the primary SOMETIMES, and no boost to very low boost that kicks in very late on the secondary. Im thinking its my turbo control actuator thats doig thiis. Theres just so many things that could be causing this and right now i feel obligated to take the short cut. I really dont mind the lag at all. I love top end power. Right now im gettting smoked by tiny stock civics on the freeway because i get no boost after 4k on 2nd 3rd, 4th......I need help!!!

Well I can sympathize with that. I have a slipping clutch and bad coolant seals to repair still. But I still tthink you should work your way down to the turbos and try to fix the sequential setup. When running properly it is awesome. Even RiKKi will tell you that. Sequential has it's place. But it's your car and you can do what you wish. Good luck I hope you get it fixed either way.

Under modded car would realy suck to drive in non-seq, if you ask me. When you have all the bolt-ons, thats the time to go non-seq. I recently did the full conversion, and love it. Smooth power all the way to redline...and a little bit further.
If you have all the bolt-ons, and do the full conversion, you should see full boost by 3,700-3,800 rpms. CJ

Alright Team I've just decided to do the full non sequential set up. I have a HKS carbon Ti exhaust and HKS downpipe on the way. I've take off the UIM and throttle body so far. All i see is the rats nest. I also took off the TCA and capped my wastegate actuator. How far am i from finishing the job? I looked at scuinderani or whatevers website but his directions seem too complicated for me??
