Getting to Spirit R spec.

I was wondering, What type of modding and parts would one have to do to get to the 02' Spirit Spec or is it even possible?

Thanks,
Josh

steering wheel, shift ****, shift boot, handbrake, handbrake boot, exterior paint, etc etc.

Depending on how crazy you are, I have a tagged/titled RHD FD for sale that would provide you w/ one hell of a head start (wouldn't have to do a RHD conversion etc).

$2000? You're dreaming. Spirit R seats go for $3500 at the CHEAPEST to $4000+. There was a set on Yahoo Japan a week ago for $3800! The Spirit R steering wheel is also VERY expensive, and the Spirit R BBS rims are over $2500. The parts are so expensive, they're prohibitively so. They also had drill ditch rake rotors, painted lead calipers, stain mesh hoses, interior panels w/ a special soft coating, etc etc.

How much for the RHD FD ?
PM me for details plz.

I've got a 93 touring so its probably going to cost a ton of money to get it there. Is there anything that can't be upgraded (i.e. chasis)?

ANYTHING can be done for the right amount of money. It'll be VERY expensive though. Very. Also keep in mind you will inevitably require a RHD parts car, because the plastics, dash, etc, ALL of that interior stuff has to come out of a RHD. You can't just flip it over

What he said..Get the complete front clip and wing. Do the taillight conversion yourself. Get it painted ... Do some power mods and be well over 280.. I went w/ original silver because I did my engine bay earlier. Also don't like wings. Just an idea for u.

I'm looking for a better sequential system, and it seems the 99 spec one's are the only upgrade choice.

280PS is stated power. Conversion to us HP would result in about 275HP, however Japanese have a self regulated upper power limit of 280PS and they all cheat at it buy just stating that aas the max power, actual level from reading japanese lituarture seems to be between 290 & 310Hp (nice but still less than our typical convervative upgrades)

For power, just get some BNR's and run em sequential. Rynberg is doing that at the moment and if you ever wanna go sequential, Rich (goodfellaFD3S) runs em like that with outstanding results.

For looks, just get a 99 spec front end, tail lights, wing, RGR's, side markers and decals, seats, steering wheels, and shift ***** and boots and paint the car titanium grey. If you really wanna go crazy you can try and source gauges, side skirts, and even try and somewhat match that weird dash they put in the Spirit R's.

IMO, trying to go right hand drive is gonna be expensive enough, add on top of that all the parts you wanna buy to make it a spirit R. You should just stick with what you have, left hand drive, and work off of that. It'll still be expensive, but atleast it wont be raping you out the ***. Well, maybe those damn seats will, but thats another story.

Heh, Well I'm not looking to go left hand driving, just the general performance, handling and look of the spirit. The seats are recaro's right?

I think you meant that Rich runs them non-sequential...
