Getting check engine Code 36 but do not see in list

Hello, driving around the other day, the check engine light came on. I pulled the code and 3 Long and 6 Shorts. So I went to look at the codes and all I see is a 37 for Oil Metering Pump Low Battery Voltage, Malfunctioning MOP or ECU, Step Motors, Open or Short Circuit .Charging System .OMP Connector .Wiring from OMP to ECU.

I checked the counts probably about 6 more times to make sure I was counting the code lights . What is 36?

That's a good question, I Googled around and I'm with you, I don't see a 36!

May want to pull the negative battery cable then press the brake pedal down for 20 seconds to clear codes, then hook things back up and see if it comes back.

Thanks, will try the reset. I will also take video just in case I am going crazy and you all can assist me in counting the blinks.

Codes in the manual, mightn't be all encompassing.

56, which isn't in the list, has flashed up on a S8, coming from a general Mazda ECM fault code listing book iirc.

if you watched the codes for a cycle, is there a chance you watched 06, then 30 on a loop and miss read as 36?

Just went out and did a video and now see I counted and interpreted them wrong. It is two sets of quick flashes.

1st = 3 short -> Crank Angle Sensor (G Signal), No G Signal - .Crank Angle Sensor Connector.Wiring from Crank Angle Sensor to ECU.Crank Angle Sensor
***LONG PAUSE***
2nd = 6 short -> Speedometer Sensor - No Speedometer Sensor Signal - .Speedometer Sensor Connector.Wiring from Speedometer Sensor to ECU

My RPM and MPH gauges went out the other week. RPM went totally out and the MPH was off and on and then totally out. I got the light a little after the MPH totally went out and normally when the RPMs feel like they are above 4k.

Thanks guys I will load the video up just to confirm what I am seeing is correct.

I agree - it looks like 3 short and then 6 short, which like you said is 2 separate codes, 3 & 6.
