It's going to vary by driver, depends on how much you really put your foot into it. I've seen 20mpg on a tank, but I've also seen 13mpg on a tank. This is all in a relativley stock car.

I got about 28 MPG on a 300 mile trip from the East side of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the West side of Houston Texas.

In the city, it's pretty bad, but then again I have a lead foot in the city.

While filing up today I put 15 gallons in. The trip odo said 173.X miles. But my car is running rich and i believe my sparkplugs are fouled.

But like they said- the more action the throtle gets- the more the fuel pump gets.
These cars arent hondas (unfortunatly). I get 35 mpg driving it (trying to anyway) like the 7.

is it really that bad of an emergency to know what the gas mileage is on an fd? i mean, come on, why the "PLEASE HELP"??? its not like you accidentally snipped one of your nads while shaving your ***** or something...

i really hate when people burn this into people who dont deserve it, but did you even try to run a search for, perhaps, "gas mileage"?

well, anyway, on my fd i used to average about 11-13 mpg in the city and around 16 mpg on a full freeway driven tank when it was stock. after going with all the bolt ons and straight pipe, i averaged about 1.5-2 mpg lower all the time.

I always got ~16MPG on the highway, and a few less city. This past weekend, on a long highway drive I got 20MPG! And this was driving ~90MPH and boosting lots to fly by slow-pokes. I was happy with that, but doubt it'll happen again soon.

I'd say my lowest would be 7-8mpg and highest would be close to 17-18mpg. Most of the huge increase is due to

A stock FD in good running condition will get the mileage stated by Mazda, 17/25. This is assuming you drive economically. With a cold air intake, downpipe, and catback, i can get slightly better than 25 mpg on the highway. Again this assumes a constant cruising speed of no more than 65 miles/hour. Also, the fuel light usually comes on when there is at least 3 gallons left in the tank so dont assume that just because you see the light on the fuel gauge you have used all 20 gallons in the tank.
