I'm looking for a modest 350hp on a EFR 7670 and ID1050X primary and secondaries. It sounds like my oem fuel system should actually be able to handle that, but what would give me a bit more margin and flexibility to expand later? This is all being controlled by an Adaptronic Plug and play ECU.

Thanks!!
Why not just the denso TT supra pump? Factory quality and easy drop in install. Got mine from Banzai. Comes with a new sock. Handle 400+.

I will probably rewire mine today for a constant 12v.
I am unaware of anything "new". I would stick with something tried and proven with a pump.

Hey man,

I would recommend looking at a walbro 450, IRP makes a bracket kit and can have it pre-wired to be a pretty easy install. For peace of mind, I routed a separate fuel pump relay connected directly to the battery, and i haven't noticed any noise from it from in the cabin with the IRP bracket kit. That should keep you safe in case you want to go up to a higher power level later on. Also you should replace your fuel filter if you haven't recently.

That wasn't the Sakebomb's harness was it?

If memory serves, the Walbro 450 series is 255lph (litres per hour), which is what I was referring to.
OTOH there is also a high likelihood that I'm wrong, since I'm only a year into the Rotary world/game!

Yeah, my fuel filter was one of the first maintenance things that I did -- what a b*tch to get to!!! above and behind the diff certainly helps keep it out of harm's way, but it's so tough to get to with just a jack and hand tools.

No I actually made it myself running old speaker wire reused from the Previous owner (the fatty stuff they use for the caps or whatnot, think it was like 4 AWG or something) and another non-rotary specific vendor (leash electronics) that has a double fuel pump relay mounted on a board to control two fuel pumps independently (just in case, only have one fuel pump right now and covered the other side contacts with liquid electrical tape)

Also walbro has the 255, which is what you are referring to, and made a new 450lph to deal with ethanol applications, as generally you need more ethanol, as it is less energy dense

Ahh, gotcha. So the 255 will be enough for 4x ID1050s? I actually have a spare walbro 255 lying around from my last SR20... why, what a nice surprise...

255 should be fine, max cooper made a fuel pump/hp calculator linked below:

Awesome - thank you!! Great tool, assuming all the parameters are accurate... I don't suppose anyone's had issues with choosing pumps/injectors according to this?

About to search for a Walbro 255 install instructions, but will ask here as I do that... anyone know what needs to be fabricated/bought/modified in order to install a Walbro 255 into the stock pump location?

Many thanks!

The easy way would be to use the IRP walbro bracket which uses the stock fuel pump hanger and adds a clamp with o rings to attach to the fuel pump. You will also need to cut off a bit of the metal tube where the pump hose goes to, and attach the fuel pump hose and worm clamps provided with the aftermarket fuel pump. You will also need to solder in the new pump, if you are not using an adapter, and use fuel resistant heat shrink on the connections (I bought a racetronix bulkhead connector and installed it on the fuel pump hanger as I have seen horror stories of the OEM connector shorting). Also, depending on which pump you bought, you may need a different fuel pump sock, Walbro 125-142 Fuel Filter, which sits more similarly to the OEM fuel sock. Other than that it is pretty much drop in. Just be sure to note height of fuel pump when re-attaching, so you don't set it too high.

Isn't 4x 1050cc a weird injector setup? I thought you needed to keep the primary injectors below 850cc to get stable injection (1.3 msec or greater) at idle.

Not with today's more modern injectors. I'm running 1500cc primaries from Injector Dynamics and it idles beautifully, no problems at all!

EDIT- sorry dyslexia strikes again, 1050cc, not 1500cc!

That's what @Turblown told me to do, so that's what I'll do.
Any other suggestions?

I am running the 1300x primaries with 1700x secondaries (injector dynamics for both) and it idles smoothly I mapped out my setup a couple years ago, before the 1050x came into existance, and it was the smallest . Basically ID and Bosch (collaboration) set a new generation of injectors that are able to be larger and still have good idle control. Honestly the 1050x will be great for those power levels
