After leaving my FD sitting for 2 days, I came to start it but can't hear the fuel pump priming, and of course, it didn't start.
I do hear a click from the relay in the back, and could hear the fuel pump 2 days ago priming after I turn the key.
What are some things to check? Is my fuel pump bad? Is it some relay? How can it just.. break after sitting when it ran perfectly 2 days before?

 

checked the fuses, and the fuel pump seems fine

 

Do you have a way of checking your fuel pressure?

Is there a way to test if it's the EGI relay? or the fuel pump relay? Or even the pump without needing special tools

 

in the factory setup, you can jump the FP and GND in the diagnostic box, and when you turn the key on the pump should run.

 

this is the standard of living with an FD...

do you have an aftermarket pump? after you jump the pump at the diag box and it still doesn't work then you will need to pull the hanger

 

I get current to the lead heading to the pump.. I haven't tried to jump it, but will in a few hrs

 

Update! It wasn't the pump. It was just the relay. After re-installing the pump I started the car, it ran fine for 2 minutes. Went inside, revved it a bit ( 3k rpm )to move it, then it just died. Tried starting again and after a few tries, it started, but only on one rotor, and there are tons of missfires. Can an engine just flood while.. running?

 

Im guessing the engine got flooded. It did smell a bit like gas. But how come that the engine just did that after it started? Maybe something got in the tubes while I took out the pump? I'm a new owner and I am worried not to brick anything

 

Update. It was bad wiring causing the relay to short, not giving proper power to the pump, THUS not making enough pressure...
