fuel cutting out

alright now after a few threads of help ive fixed my 2k idle... now the fuels cutting out i think, i figured out that the pfc i got from rx7store was tuned by them but didnt work for my mods, SO i reset it to the base map and did the idle learn prossess and now it idles at 750, but if you hold the engine at rev it gos up then the fuel just cuts out and it drops backdown over and over. whats wrong?
only mods are:
trust intake
trust fmic
hks cat back
blitz turbo timer

Can you describe what is happening in more detail?

Are you talking about fuel cut under load/acceleration, or while sitting at idle when the car starts up...?

sorry my bad, it happens under acceleration, if you hit or leave your foot on the gas it'll rev up to about 2.5 k but it appears that the fuel cuts out once it reaches a certain rpm

Have you looked at the commander to see if any sensors are having a problem (particularly the crank angle sensors)?

the only one thats highlighted is VTA1 for the tps but i doubt that'd cause this. it almost acts like after a certain rpm it just doesnt get enough air or something and just cuts out, im gunna record what it does so you all can understand what im saying cuz its hard to explain

How did this start? Did you change engines or add some mods to the car? Almost seems like the CAS connectors are backwards which would cause the car to sputter and almost die around 2.5k rpms.

the only thing i did was reset the pfc back to its base map, but other than that i did nothing. the car used to rev up perfectly but idle at 2.5k and misfire slightly so after reading a long thing on the pfc i reset it and did the idle learn process and now it revs like ****

If it was running fine before, and all you did was reset the PFC; post a message in the PFC forum.

There are several threads of yours with problems (not recently, but over the past few weeks). How about you back up and start by how all this started? It seems there is something else going on besides the PFC, but there's no real history in this thread or your others.

true, alright i'll go deep into the history of my cars **** condition.
k so this all started when my friend and i were replacing my front bumper and half way through we decided to install my greddy replica fmic. it took about a week to install and after we got all the parts put back together we started it and it bogged really bad and kept wanting to die and misfired bad. so i did some research and eventually bought a apex'i PFC from rx7store because they said that they "pre tune" them for you and after a week or so it got here and i plugged it in, and it did nothing good. mainly because i later found out about the 4 wires to cut and idle learn. but after some help from some of the guys on the forums i found out that the hose going to the map sensor was unhooked so i plugged it back in and the idle eventually steadied out but would bob up and down, SOO i figured out that my IAC solenoid was bad and replaced that cut the 4 wires for the PFC and my TPS for good measure and then i also replaced my O2 sensor because my exhaust had caught on fire while the map sensor hose was still unplugged and it ruined my old O2 sensor. also replaced the spark plugs as they'd been fouled so after all that i got the car to idle.. but at 2.5k rpm and it'd misfire so after a while i just said screw it and resent my PFC and did the idle learn and now it idles great but it surges if you try to rev the engine. so thats the history of it. again heres the link to the video of how it runs as of now.

Ok, since you were in the area installing the FMIC; check the electrical lines from the crank angle sensors and the oil metering pump. Make sure the connections are snapped in on the CAS's. It's very possible that you either knocked them loose, or they got damaged from rubbing a belt.

You have you start eliminating what is not the problem to narrow down what is the problem.

They are both on the front cover of the engine. The CAS sensors are behind the main pulley:

There are two sensors, you need to verify both. The OMP is on the passenger size of the front cover. It has electical wires which run from the pump to a larger connector on the emissions harness. The wires follow the OMP lines under the waterpump housing. You can get a view of it from the pics in this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...44&postcount=7

You can also see the two CAS's in the last picture.

You could try putting your stock ECU back in place to verify it's not an ECU problem.
