Fried Head Gasket

I took my 7 to a mechanic becuase it wasnt working and he told me that possibly my head gasket was blown after he did the dio and the compression check.. he gave me the total to fix my can and it didn't make me after he said $2000, my reaction was something more in this reaction is that a common price for the 7 or what, i don't want to get played on this deal esp since they arent porting, polishing or anything like that in the process. Is there anyone else in So Cal that can do it for the same price and add in all that kinds of other neat stuff?

I would

I would give him the $2k for a new motor then sue his *** in 3 months when he still has your car. Sounds to me like the guy you took it to has no clue. I'm sure some of the SD users can chime in on a good place to take it.

hey...rotary reliability and racing are the local specialists here. I had my motor built by nick and quite a bit of my work done there. motors are their strong point...and my car screams.

give them a call ..my car is there right now getting break upgrades and some new solonoids as i didnt have time to do it myself....when i was down there they said this week was slow...so if you need to get your car in right away...nows the time.

good luck

jason manley

ps..tell em i sent you over...they will treat you well. they have great prices and warrantee all their work as well.
