yes there is, run a wire form one of the plugs where the fog lights went to to a radiator fan relay wire, and on the inside make the switch send a ground signal to the wire instead of + and u will engage the two relays that are required to make the fans go into medium settign. i will look up which wire to tap into tommorow when i take some pics . i will also tell u what to do on the inside where the switch is once i take more pics tommorow. so be patient.

you are grounding the wire underneath the fog light switch to send a negative signla to the fog light plug instead of the positive that it used to send before, and then you are taking that negative signal and routing it to the fan relays so they kick on and send your fan into medium settign, all teh factory settign and speeds of teh fans will be unaffected by this setup, the only thing now is you can manually go into medium setting, and if your car goes over226F because u are beatign teh crap out of it and the thermostat activates one of the other 4 relays your fans will go into high mode. as woudl a stock car anyway.

ok here it is, here are the 4 fan relays, its the relay clossest to the front bumper and teh drivers side, you tap into the green wire as shown here, try to solder the connection to get a solid contact and not cause any unnecesassary engine fires

then i routed the wire as such to the pass side fog light plug...

this is the fog light plug... and the wire that goes to it from the relay that u just ran..

http://12.243.159.121/photos/!My%20Pictures!/FD/06-17-02%20fan%20rewire/DSC00005.JPG

...and it hooks up to the white wire on the fog light plug, i also soldered this connection to have a good contact.

http://12.243.159.121/photos/!My%20Pictures!/FD/06-17-02%20fan%20rewire/DSC00006.JPG

then you go inside the car and pull the panel where the fog light switch is mounted...

http://12.243.159.121/photos/!My%20Pictures!/FD/06-17-02%20fan%20rewire/DSC00011.JPG

note the black wire that is grounded and then is hooked up to the red/yellow wire...

http://12.243.159.121/photos/!My%20Pictures!/FD/06-17-02%20fan%20rewire/DSC00012.JPG

this red yellow wire used to go into this white plug and went right next to the red wire i am pointing to i believe,
you MUST take out that red/yellow wire from that white plug and grounded it, if you leave the wire in and grounded it bad things will happen

http://12.243.159.121/photos/!My%20Pictures!/FD/06-17-02%20fan%20rewire/DSC00016.JPG

this completes the fan rewire.

Fog Light Switch Used for Fan Mod

There are four wires on the fog light switch. Two are larger gauge, the white and the red with yellow stripe. Two are smaller gauge, the red with green stripe and the red with blue stripe. Only the two larger gauge wires are actually switched on and off by the switch. These are the two wires to use for the fan mod. Use one wire to go to ground and the other to where you are wiring into the fan circuit such as the version of the fan mod that goes to the relays. It doesn't matter which you choose.

Here's a link to a How-To on the fan mod:
http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/fanswitch/fanswitch.html

The two smaller gauge wires are not operated by the switch. These two wires are the hot and ground wires for the amber illuminating diode (bulb) in the switch itself. The illuminating diode glows only when the head lights/panel lights are turned on. This illuminating diode is NOT a light to tell you the switch is in the on/closed position. The red with blue stripe is the hot and the red with green stripe is the ground. You do not have to hook-up these two wires for the fan mod to work. However, if you want the foglight switch (now the fan mod switch) to illuminate with the other panel lights then connect the red with green stripe wire on the foglight switch to the red with green stripe wire on the rear window defroster switch which happens to be close by on the console panel. Do the same with the red with blue stripe wires. Now you will have a fan mod switch that illuminates with all the other panel lights.

One additional word of advice. Remember that the black plastic console and the black plastic radio/heater fascia can be scratched very easily. Take precautions to handle them carefully.

Good luck and take care.
