I’ve been reading other threads and wiring diagrams. I discovered my coolant sensor disconnect wire was disconnected so I cleaned and reconnected that and now my add coolant light is off. I took the coolant flush out and then ran distilled through it several times and it wasn’t as clean as I’d like so I’m running another flush in it. The ones you drive with for a couple hours. I also reconnected the oil level sensor as the wire had apparently ceased to exist. My idle is a little rough I’m suspecting maybe a coil on its way out or I might need new apex seals. It feels like a misfire.

Im noticing some squeaking in every gear except fifth. The higher the rpms the louder it is. And it only seems to happen when the car is warm. I inspected the belts and they look good. I don’t think it’s a vac leak because j just did all the hoses. I took a look at them without taking off the UIM and they look ok. I’m currently looking into what belts I need because I don’t know what brand air pump delete kit I have.

But somebody likely has a used set. Dealer may still carry.

I think JP Motorsports just started making new boots for the fan relays. Someone is making them, google around on it.

Driving the car right now and there’s no squeaking, one hose on the pressure tank infront of the UIM may have been loose. Petit recommending pushing it half on so if I blow off a hose, it’s one that’s easily accessible but I have made it too lose so I pushed it on some more

Solenoid Replacement Therapy
This is a little late, but shows how we hooked up solenoids to the harness to fool the ecu into thinking it was controlling the solenoids. Fortunately when PO "parralled" the turbos, and deleted the emmisions equipment, they left the harness intact. We later rebuild the set-up to full sequential stock .
Solenoids reconnected to harness to "fool" ecu into not throwing codes. Note S8 engine harness. See same harness connected to Rat Box above.

Yeah my greddy smog pump delete kit pulley gets really close to the hose that comes out of the bottom of the water pump but I don’t think that’s it.
My intercooler downpipe is different it’s plastic all the way to the turbos but it doesn’t seem to get close enough to rub. Though I do need to get a new rubber connector between the elbow and pipe to the turbo. It’s not looking too healthy, but I don’t think it’s leaking yet because I over tightened it because it shot off once.

Bushings bushings bushings
I’m getting a clunk when I let off the gas. I’m thinking it’s the diff bushings. Hopefully not the U joint because I’ve read they aren’t serviceable. Anyone have any other ideas? Sound seems to come from back of car. Sounds like I’m driving a pick up with loose things in the back that slam into the cab. I assume any kind of bushings that exist or once existed in this car need to be replaced. I’m currently ordering shifter bushings because I can’t stand the crazy play I have in my shifter.

New shifter bushings make a world of difference. Rocketeer Bandit had a great thread a while back showing all the parts you need and how to do it right.
Clunk from the back can be pillow *****, loose exhaust, most anything. You're going to have to do some homework to figure it out. Pillow ***** can typically be diagnosed by parking the car and pulling up on the e-brake. While in the car, grab the steering wheel and jerk your body forwards and backwards, if they are bad you will hear them clunking.

I saw the J auto ones I didn’t know if they were a good site or not though. Do you think getting these aftermarket ones are better than OEM from Ray?
Have you used the J auto ones or anything from them?

They seem to have favourable reviews on various threads.
OEM pillow *****/bushings are very expensive.
From what I read, aftermarket suspension bushings, etc. tend to provide a firmer ride (for "spirited driving")
I am in the process of sorting out what I will do. First I will go through my existing spare suspension parts to see if any OEM are reusable.
See Dale's current discussion about his considerations for his suspension.
Lots of good views expressed there.

Jacked my car up. We were closing up shop so I was trying to be quick. I shook the wheel towards the inside of the car and pulled out. (assuming that's the proper way to check the toe links) Play was minimal. A little bit more on one side. I pried on a bunch of the other bushings, anything I could see and reach. Diff bushings look stock, they seem ok but could be firmer. Probably will go poly. I cant seem to find the Mazda Comps. What I'm curious about is the control arm with the pillow ***** in, there's enough play that I can move it by hand. I feel like that's not right. Is that my culprit? The play lets me almost twist the lower control arm a bit.
