Your intake and intercooler (or lack of) is holding you back. You should consider these as your next upgrades, they will allow you to get closer to 300hp.

yep. I understand my limitations. 230-250rwhp was my goal at this point, but more than anything it's to have a healthy and reliable car.

I've had the car a year, and already put ~$9k into the car (including new engine) It's time to take a break on the mods until the car is paid off (1.5 years). I'm happy with what I have until then.

BigRed:

Where did you dyno at? Did "ghetto dave" tune on the dyno or on the street?

FWIW, I hit 240 rwhp with downpipe and cat-back on the stock ecu, so it looks like a safe, conservative tune (although with the differences between dynos, who knows).

More importantly, did you have him tune for drivability? How smooth is the car in all driving situations?

Thanks.

Spoolin: that's too agressive for me right now.

Zoom: ha.. nope.. I'm cool with stock boost

rynberg: Dave tuned it on the dynojet at ATP in fremont. I bought the PFC used, and was told that there were no changes made to any of the maps, which I found out wasn't true. I had dave tune with reliability in mind rather than performance. I've got plenty of time to worry about that. He did do numerous partial throttle runs and got everything in a state that I felt comfortable with. Also we were tuning in 99 degree heat, the numbers may be a little higher at lower temps, but again with reliability in mind, having it tuned conservatively for that heat, I know that at lower temps I can have confidence in my car not blowing up.

standard 2nd engine jitters right?

Cool, thanks for the info. I hit my 240 at ATP too (a lot cooler day, but SAE corrected). I like their shop. I'm glad that Dave could tune it pretty well.

And what happened to your car during a 150mph run?

I was thinking about your dyno runs when he mentioned what he put down. The tune wasn't THAT aggressive either.

Big Red, you still have more power there, but hey, if you're happy who cares.
