What is the best way to check if the pills are even in those hoses, im not sure if the previous owner remembered to put the pills back in, if they are not there, what can i use to replace them?

Carburetors use these kind of restrictors, so run a SEARCH and you should have the info you need.

Rotary rookie here.... It sounds like we're talking about small restrictors (orifices?) placed in these hoses. Is that right? If so, where are they located? Near the solenoids or at the actuators. In the case of the '94/'95 would the "pill" be built into the solenoid or be at the other end? I'm getting less boost than I should be and din't know about this. I had the silicone hose job done so maybe they missed it.

And yes, these pills are brass beads with a hole drilled in them - the hole must aligned properly and they can't get switched.
How much less boost? Install a gauge (temporary is fine, just run a 0-15psi gauge through a crack in the window to the unused nipple on your UIM) and see the Vanditmar turbo troubleshooting site and go from there.
