A few more pics of Raceshop street roll bar
I finally had a chance to do some interior rework and install my new Raceshop bar and seats. First off I would like to say that this bar is top notch. I have a bit of experience with aftermarket bolt in bars, Ive had both a Cusco 6-pt and an autopower in one of my old FCs, and this bar definately blows both of them away in terms of fitment and built quality. My hats off to Larry, thanks alot! Also I have a set of MemoryFab carbon fiber buckets, and RJS 5-pt harnesses with camlock release. If any of you are going with harnesses, I strongly suggest the camlocks. I couldnt imagine trying to quickly get out of a burning or upside down vehicle with the regular attachments. Anyway, onto the pics. These seats fit the car very well. They sit on bolt -in low rise side attach seat rails. Headroom is great, I think anyone could easily fit even with a helmet ( at least in a non-sunroof car). Fitment is great, the passenger side just barely rubs the doorpanel, but I think I can fix that with a bit of playing with the seat bracket. Drivers side fits without issues. Any opinions or suggestions welcome..:

Also, I never bring my FD out of the garage in the rain, but it has been non-stop here for what seems like forever, and this parking lot is ~30seconds from my house.. so I braved the weather for the pics Also I have a few tips on installation of the bar I thought Id share. I pulled everything from my interior so I could get the carpet up. Center console, rear side platics, rear bins, etc.. I then had the bar completely installed and bolted down when I realized you cannot get the rear side panels back on with the main hoop installed, so I had to remove it and start all over. If you wish to do this, once you have the main hoop floor pieces in place, swing the top of the hoop forward toward the winshield and then install the rear plasics, and bins, then push the hoop back into place. That wasted me a few hours. Also, make sure there is no powdercoat on the points where the rear bars mount to the main hoop. There was a tiny bit that I needed to dremmel down that was preventing everything from lining up. The bar is so tight that even a 16th of an inch is enough to keep it from going together.

Very nice looking setup you have going there.
In particular your seat setup looks really interesting... Is there any way for you to tell if the actual seat bottom is lower than the stock seats/sliders? Maybe you could measure straight up (with a level to make sure you're perpendicular) from the lowest point on the seat to the headliner? I have a friends car in the shop right now with base model seats that I could measure for reference. I guess I'd also need to know how much the foam compresses when you sit in it.
I'm 6'5" and always looking for any way to get more head/helmet room, especially since my car has a sunroof! I know there's others on the board with the same problem who would be interested to know as well.

Thanks for the comments
Seats/brackets were ~$1350 + shipping. I had actually bought them brand new, but 2nd hand so I did not actually order them. But yes, I do think that is where they were originally ordered from, they are model S58. My harnesses I picked up from Summit, they were ~$150 each.
The seats definately are able to be positioned lower than stock, but by how much I am not sure. I have it on the 3rd ( I think) highest setting right now, but Im shorter at 5' 9". I will try to get some measurements to help you out.

Stupid question here. What is the purpose of this piece? I realize its a safety piece but the rx7 is a hard top and this falls short of a full cage. Does this meet track requirements to run your car? If I somehow ended up impacting my roof would it save me? Does it help with other impact scenarios?

Barban, it's for extra safety for tracking the car. The bar meets SCCA and NASA specs and would certainly help in a rollover or side impact. It also provides a safe foundation for harness attachment.
