Okay, the pics that were on the girl's webpage were not exactly of her in a pair of coveralls working on the car... it was her in a tight tank top, tight jeans, & her mid-section hanging out... not that there is anything wrong with wearing that type of clothes... but if you put a steak out in front of a pack of hungry dogs... you KNOW what will happen.

 

Well, this isn't a meat market and it would be nice if some people could behave BETTER than a hungry dog. This thread is on life support...please show some class guys.

I have been looking at this thread since it was started and I just wanted to see what everyone said about the situation. This is exactly what happens, I get PM's all the time when people come across my pics. and they can be very perverted. If we were all sitting in a room somewhere talking about our cars 90% of things said on this forum, would never be mentioned face to face. After my pics were put in the lounge there were about 50 pages of harrassment and a few decent honest questions and some nice compliments. I rearely ever post on this forum anymore, though I am always on here reading and researching or getting parts. There would be alot more girls comming out and posting if it wasnt for the fact that someone would say "pics. or fail" or "do you have any pics. you could send me" tasteful compliments are always apreciated by any girl or anyone in general. but a girl has got to prepare herself for what may come of a thread she has started. I have had my FD for almost 4 years now, I love my car, I have went through multiple daily drivers but would'nt trade my FD for anything. I would like to post on this forum more often and talk to both guys and girls alike here about what they are doing with their cars and just everything rotary related, but there is nothing really that can be done about the "leg humping"

 

I was referring to post #113. Quit making excuses for the leg humpers. My comments weren't directed solely at you, so quit being so defensive.

I would like to comment toward the "17 year old drivers" sub topic we had awhile back. I autocrossed from early on, I was driving at a very young age (they allow, or did allow, 14 year olds to drive in rural Iowa) and still at 17 I was no where near as aware of what is going on on the roads as I am now at 26...despite what my confidence and ego told me at the time. Experience in normal daily driving doesn't do anything to heighten awareness of a car's capabilities though...I can guarantee you that at 17 I was 100 times more aware of the car and what it could do and couldn't do, than my mom was at 45...but did that make me a safer driver on the street than her...absolutely not!

and that is because...

One thing is for CERTAIN...the younger you are, the more prone you are to taking risk! That is absolute, for sure, 100%, it is a fact of life. Most of us get away with minimal loss...some of us are not so lucky, but as time goes by we all look back at some of things we did and say...WOW I would never have done that today. I drove too fast, and took many more chances...but I got through with no accidents and one or two speeding tickets...I was lucky. That doesn't necessarily make me a better driver than someone who folded their FD up into a tree, so I would never talk in a condescending tone about it.

I had the opportunity to own an FD as I graduated high school (1998). I had a 100% free ride to college because of acedemics and so MY college savings I could spend how I pleased. There was an FD in my price range, I drove it...thought about how cool it would make me...then thought about how I would probably die...and passed up the opportunity.

I bought an Integra Type R...got into track driving...then an E36 M3...now the FD. Progression in life is a good thing! It makes us more prepared for the next step...

Hopefully the women who lurk on the forums for info and parts, can come out of the wordwork and add some insight and post in threads when they would like. It is rather pathetic someone would feel uncomfortable posting because of sexual harrassment on a message board. It is a totally unnecessary problem, brought on by the safety and anonymity of the internet and very immature (or just outwardly explicit) individuals sitting behind a keyboard. It should stop for the betterment of the whole community...cause I see it on every automotive message board and it is really annoying.
