Yes, I agree with the comments that there are women owners but most choose not to post here. I guess the reasons are pretty obvious if you think about it.

1. I would guess that most are more into driving them than are interested in talking or writing about them.
2. Since the guys outnumber them in forums like these, why would they want to put themselves out there to be drooled and flirted over?
3. Most women are not into the technical aspects which is what we mostly emphasize here. Of course there are exceptions no doubt.

Well too bad. I'm as interested in drooling and flirting over them as much as the next guy

BTW, I was a little surprised to get such a high response but guess I shouldn't be. Next to our cars, I would guess that females rate pretty high on most of our minds. Also I'm happily surprised not to get any flame messages on searching before posting

or perhaps there really aren't that many? I bet it's less than 5% of the total FDs on the road, more likely less than 2%....just like women who ride sport bikes, there are very few, and most of them aren't that hot, it's like they have something to prove

single women (non soccer moms who all drive SUVs) want something safe, comfortable, low maintenance and a little sporty...usually a 3 series Beemer or something like that

Plenty of my girlfriends have loved my FD......until they found out how much time and money I spent on it rather than her. I'd like to think another FD owner would be a perfect match. We'd have an understanding that the cars come first. Most of my girlfriends get rather upset when they discover they are a distant 4th on my priorities.
1. Career
2. Family
3. FD
4. Girlfriend.
They don't seem to understand that the 3 that precede them have been around a lot longer. I assure you my priorities are purely logical.

Tell me about it. I had to buy a new convertible for my wife just to keep her quiet about it.

It would be nice if there were more than a hand full of women like this. I mean it can be difficult to relate to women sometimes. She wants to talk about how her new shoes look while I want to talk about an oil cooler upgrade. A woman that owns an FD and is still a woman (not a grease monkey) isn't interesting to me because it is a hot woman driving a hot car. It's because it's a woman I can communicate with and share a passion with. Alas... so elusive I gave up on the idea a nanosecond after it occurred to me.

She needs to gain 10-15lbs first before she reaches hotness.

Maybe it's because the women I date tend to be in their early twenties. They're still in the me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, phase.
I have moved on to the realist phase, which states: your *** probably won't be around for more than a few months before I get sick of you. The FD drives me nuts, but I can turn her off and leave her in the garage. Real women follow you. I can't out run my current girlfriend. She's a marathon runner.

^^ I dont know why a woman would make a guy want to choose his ride or his woman, fd guys need to find a proper girl which isnt uptight. 90% of women arent into cars period, they only care about power windows, leather seats and if the car looks "pretty"

You guys are a riot. I was hoping to hear from at least one girl after posting this thread that would tell me how full of sh*t I was. But instead I've got all of U and all of a sudden everyone's girlfriend has an FD. Serves me right!

I just think there aren't that many women that own RX-7's today. Maybe when they came out I can imagine that there were many.

These days I see alot of Rx-8 owners that are women but I wonder if in 10 years there will be as many of them damn I will be 30+ by that time......

My gf's clearly understand that it is:
-Career
-Car to get away from career
-The rest which includes them and family.

Obviously it takes you out of contention with some if not alot of women but the results are worth it.

I for one don't think I could date a girl with an Rx-7.

Not sure about the career over family part or for that matter the FD over GF. Good luck to you guys in life. Don't think a car is worth anything over a human being.
